Established in 2008, the Grosse Pointe Woods Foundation functions as an independent organization committed to new civic projects designed to enhance and enrich the lives of those who work and live in our great community. We are your neighbors – we all live and/or work in the city. Thanks to the generous support of many residents and businesses, we recently completed our first civic project – the clock and garden in front of the City’s municipal offices. While we are proud to have completed this project, there is more to be done. We would like to cordially invite you to join us for a Membership Drive and Cocktail Reception, on behalf of the Grosse Pointe Woods Foundation. It will be held on Thursday, September 8th, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. At this reception, you will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with your Woods friends and neighbors and learn more about our organization, while enjoying piano entertainment and hors d'oeuvres.
Donations for tickets are $75 per person ($42 is tax deductible) or $125 per couple ($59 is tax deductible), in advance, and include one drink
ticket per person and Foundation membership. By participating, you are not just helping us, but you are also investing in the long-term future of our community. Our belief is that Grosse Pointe Woods is a special place. We believe that our support of the Grosse Pointe Woods community is a worthwhile endeavor, and we hope you share our belief.
